At Ninja Allied Health, we’ve always believed that our work goes beyond simply providing therapy, it’s about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. As the founders of Ninja Allied Health, our mission has always been to offer innovative, client-centred care that truly meets the unique needs of each individual we serve.

We’re particularly passionate about supporting the next generation of occupational therapists. That’s why we’ve developed a 12-month program specifically designed for new graduates like you. This program was created in collaboration with our current new graduates and reflects our own experiences when we were OTs in your position. Our aim is to make your transition from academic life to clinical practice as smooth as possible. We want to help you build the skills, gain the experience, and develop the confidence needed to thrive in your career and find fulfilment in the impact you make each day.

As a future Ninja, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and conditions, to help you discover your strengths. You’ll be supported by leading occupational therapists with over 50 years of experience between them. We believe that hands-on experience, paired with the right guidance, is the key to becoming a well-rounded and effective therapist.

Occupational Therapy New Graduate Program

Your 12-Month Graduate Journey at Ninja Allied Health

Month 1–3: Orientation & Core Skills

• Orientation: Introduction to Ninja Allied Health, mission, values, and NDIS framework.

• Core Skills: Learn your OT role, supervision & mentoring, and basic documentation training.

• Practical Training: Hands-on with NDIS tools, functional assessments, and goal setting.

• Mentoring & Support: Weekly supervision and continuous mentorship.

Month 4–6: Advanced Skills & Case Management

• Independence: Build confidence in case management and analysing real case studies.

• Professional Development: Deepen skills in areas of professional interest.

• OT Graduate-Led Supervision: Transition to greater responsibility with mentorship.

Month 7–12: Specialised Training & Review

• Specialised Skills: Workshops on assistive technology, home modifications, and group projects.

• Program Review: Reflect on progress, feedback, and achievement discussions.

• Final Steps: Complete assessments and create a professional development plan.

• Continuous Growth: Ongoing supervision, workshops, and quarterly reviews.
