Rebecca (Bec)
Occupational Therapist - Team Lead
Hi, I’m Bec and I graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, though I have a particular passion for supporting children, adolescence and young adults. I love working alongside clients to better understand themselves, using a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach that values their unique needs, perspectives, and lived experiences.
I became an occupational therapist because I’ve always wanted to be in a profession where I could genuinely help people. What drew me to OT is its holistic, whole-person focus where we have the opportunity to look beyond the individual and consider everything around them - their environment, their relationships, their occupations - all the factors that shape daily life. Being able to dive into the “nitty-gritty” of everyday occupations and tailor them to truly work for each person is something I find incredibly fulfilling.
I’ve completed professional development in paediatric feeding, Occupational Performance Coaching, DIR Floortime, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interoception.
