Brooke
Occupational Therapist
Hi! I’m Brooke, and I graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. I currently work with a diverse range of clients, including children and young adults. I’m particularly interested in mental health, supporting young adults, and older persons, and I’m eager to learn more about how assistance animals can enhance independence and wellbeing. I’m also passionate about providing safe and affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, and I take a neuro-affirming approach with all clients.
My journey into occupational therapy is deeply personal. In high school, my nan had a stroke, which profoundly affected her independence, relationships, and quality of life. Watching someone so important to me navigate such significant changes inspired me to support others and their families in similar circumstances. I love supporting people to live their lives the way they want, building confidence, independence, and their sense of purpose.
I’ve completed professional development in emotional regulation, toileting, neuro-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
